Two violent Victorian youth offenders have reportedly jetted off to the Gold Coast for a theme park getaway as part of their “rehabilitation”.
The teenagers were reportedly flown to the Sunshine State for outings to theme parks under Community Correction Orders signed off by courts, according to the Herald Sun.
The teenaged boys are understood to have been serving out sentences for home invasions and car-jackings.
The ABC reported the trip had been funded through the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
The Youth Justice department carried court-ordered CCOs, it reported.
The offenders went sightseeing and theme parks on the Gold Coast in a believed attempt to try break a cycle of offending.
Corrective Services told SkyNews.com.au they had no involvement in the reported trip.
