GURGAON: A five-year-old boy died after falling from the 22nd-floor balcony of Pioneer Presidia Society at Sector 62 on Saturday. Rudra Tej Singh had gone out to play with his nanny around 5.30pm, but on their return to the flat, he ran ahead of her after exiting the lift, inadvertently causing the flat's door to shut from inside. With the nanny unable to enter the flat, the boy went to the balcony to call for help and climbed on to a clothes rack, but lost balance and fell, police said. He was rushed to Maringo Asia Hospital by residents in the society but was declared dead. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
