Thomas P. “Tom” Sutton, age 76, of Glen Dale, WV passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Moundsville Health Care Center, Moundsville, WV.

He was born February 10, 1949 in Glen Dale, WV the son of the late David R. and Annette Miller Sutton.

He graduated from Union High School and WVU and was a member of the Glen Dale United Methodist Church.

Tom retired from the City of Moundsville after 38 years of service as the recreational director and was a past employee with WesBanco Arena for 32 years.

A true Mountaineer, Tom never missed rooting on any WVU sports team. An avid lover of music, he enjoyed listening to all styles of music and attended many concerts.

Tom was also known by his nickname “Slow Chicken,” and he enjoyed spending time with his friends, whether it be at a WVU game or
