Police have broken up a shocking “slow poison” network after the Surat SOG raided two units of the well-known Surabhi Dairy, seizing 955 kg of suspected fake paneer. The dairy had been pumping 200 kg of this adulterated paneer into the market every day.

What makes this case even more disturbing is that during initial questioning, the dairy manager admitted the paneer was fake. He revealed it was made using glacial acetic acid, a chemical suspected to speed up milk curdling that’s considered dangerously harmful to health.
