L’ANSE — Crystal Falls Forest Park made quite a statement in a Division 4 volleyball regional final here Thursday night in a 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-14) here Thursday night.
The victory sends the Trojans (41-1) to Manistique where they’ll face Atlanta (36-1-2) in a state quarterfinal match Tuesday at 6 p.m. The Hematites finished 23-6-2.
“I didn’t imagine we would win 41 matches this season.” Forest Park coach Bobbie Jo Anderson. “That’s beyond our expectations, although the girls worked hard. The first set definitely set the tone. They were able to relax a little more after winning the first set.”
It was junior Tessa Bartoszek, however, who came up with a key defensive play in the second set.
