New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) victory in Bihar—which comes just months after its win in Delhi, Haryana and Maharashtra—has infused renewed confidence into the party, which now sees the upcoming assembly elections, especially in West Bengal, as its next big challenge.
“The Haryana and Delhi victories definitely helped smooth over the impact of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, where the party was reduced to 240. But the Bihar victory has arrived at a crucial juncture as the party was struggling with low morale among workers and delays in key appointments due to the wait for a new national president,” said a party worker.
