Donald Trump became even more central to the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking inquiry this week, as newly released emails suggested the president’s relationship to the convicted sex offender was closer than Trump had led the public to believe. Trump is referenced in scores of the email threads released by members of the House Oversight Committee, but reporting has focused on three particularly incriminating but cryptic messages.
