There are 19 UK areas currently affected by "red" flood warnings which signifies "flooding is likely", as well as 49 flood alerts in place.

It comes after the UK was hit by Storm Claudia , a Spanish named storm which originally hit Portugal last week, bringing strong winds and heavy rain to large parts of the country.

Travel chaos hit Greater Manchester and the surrounding areas on Friday, November 14, including fallen trees blocking train and tram lines, and flooding closing off roads and public transport routes.

Even though there has been little rain over the weekend, 19 flood warnings remain in place across the UK as well as 49 flood alerts. A red flood warning signifies "flooding is expected" and that people in the affected areas should "act now".
