Jets cornerback Kris Boyd was in critical but stable condition late Sunday after being wounded in an early morning shooting in midtown Manhattan, the NYPD said.
The Jets said in a statement Sunday that they were "aware of the situation involving Kris Boyd and will have no further comment at this time."
The shooting took place in front of 156 W. 38th St., where Sei Less, an Asian fusion restaurant is listed as the occupant. The restaurant is open from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturdays.
Police had responded to a 911 call at 2:09 a.m. on Sunday and observed a man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, a spokesperson said earlier.
The man, later identified as Boyd, was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals, the police said.
