CHICAGO, IL. (FOX Carolina) - The Rainbow Push Coalition (RPC) said the family of Reverend Jesse Jackson, Sr. wishes to clear up miscommunication about his medical condition.

After several reports of Jackson, 84, being on life support, his family said this is not true. He is in stable condition and breathing on his own.

“In fact, [on Sunday] he called for 2,000 churches to prepare 2,000 baskets of food to prevent malnutrition during the holiday season,” said his son, Yusef Jackson.

The RPC said the reverend was admitted to Northwestern Memorial Hospital on Nov. 11 and is under observation for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).
