YOUNGSTOWN Former Mahoning Deputy Clerk of Courts Jennifer Ciccone has paid a $4,000 settlement to avoid going to jail for ten days.
Mahoning County Common Pleas Judge Maureen Sweeney threatened Ciccone with jail if she failed to pay the settlement by November 21 to Carol Morgan.
The court found that Ciccone owed $4,000 as part of the settlement of the estate of Andrew Rauzan, of which Ciccone was the administrator.
Charles Strader, Ciccone’s attorney, filed a Notice of Compliance on Friday. The notice stated that Ciccone had satisfied the condition to purge her contempt by giving Morgan a cashier's check for $4,000 on that date.
