• AT&T has integrated and deployed its newly acquired 3.45GHz mid-band spectrum to nearly 23,000 cell sites, just a few months after it announced the deal. • The upgraded mid-band 5G is now available in over 5,300 cities across 48 U.S. states. • AT&T says the new spectrum boosts 5G phone speeds by about 80% and Internet Air speeds by about 55%.
Earlier this year, AT&T announced plans to buy spectrum from Boost Mobile and Dish Network’s parent company, Echostar. Just a few months later, AT&T has now officially integrated and deployed the acquired 3.45GHz mid-band spectrum to nearly 23,000 cell sites.
