The Ontario government’s proposal to create a new governing body and amalgamate the province’s conservation authorities is being met with opposition in the Kingston area.
On Oct. 31, Ontario’s Ministry of Environment, Conservation, and Parks announced it would soon introduce legislation to consolidate the province’s 36 conservation agencies, which includes Cataraqui Conservation, into seven under new provincial management.
