STARK COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - Two buildings were destroyed in an early morning fire Monday, and will need to be razed later today.

At 5:36 a.m., Canton firefighters arrived at a vacant, single-story building in the 200 block of 3rd St. NE.

According to firefighters, there was heavy fire in the rear and side of the building and flames were spreading to both neighboring buildings.

One of the neighboring buildings was vacant, but the other was occupied by Stark County Regional Planning.

The buildings that will need to be torn down are both owned by Steve Coon.

Firefighters added a homeless man was on scene, but the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.

There were no injuries to either firefighters or civilians.
