SAN ANTONIO — A body has been found on the street just northwest of downtown Monday morning, police say.
The body was reported just before 7 a.m. in the 2000 block of Fredericksburg Road near West Rosewood Avenue. SAPD says an officer was flagged down to check on the man by a concerned citizen.
Police say the victim is a man in his 60s experiencing homelessness. Officers say there was visible trauma to the body, including injuries to the victim's head.
His identity has not been released, but officers believe they know who it is due to frequent interactions with the man.
This is a developing story.
