PayU has received integrated authorisation from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to operate as a payment aggregator for online, offline and cross-border transactions under the Payment and Settlement Systems Act.

The approval allows the company to manage payment acceptance and settlement across digital and physical channels, and to aggregate both inward and outward cross-border payments.

The framework covers activities such as onboarding merchants, routing transactions, and settling funds in compliance with RBI norms.

PayU said the authorisation strengthens its ability to support merchants with unified payment services across touchpoints. A company spokesperson said the approval reinforces its operational scope across domestic and international transactions.
