A juvenile was able to escape a house fire in Holts Summit without injury on Sunday afternoon. It happened in the 11000 block of County Road 391, according to a news release from the Holts Summit Fire Protection District.
Neighbors reported that multiple animals were inside the home. Three of the four dogs inside the residence were rescued, however, one dog was found dead.
The fire protection district responded to the fire at approximately 3:40 p.m. Sunday.
Upon arrival, fire crews encountered heavy smoke and flames breaking through the front wall of the trailer home.
Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control within approximately 45 minutes. Crews remained on scene for several hours to fully extinguish the flames and assist the Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office with its
