Officials are set to announce new flights out of the Columbia Regional Airport in a news conference Tuesday morning.
The airport set a new record in October of 14,202 departing passengers, the largest number in COU's history, according to a Columbia Regional Airport news release.
United Airlines started operating daily flights to Chicago O'Hare and Denver international airports in September. The addition of its service became a major step forward in Columbia Regional Airport's ongoing growth, according to the news release.
American Airlines offers services to Dallas/Fort Worth and Chicago O'Hare international airports.
