A Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) bus was involved in a fatal crash with a pedestrian early Monday morning on the North Freeway.

The collision occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. According to METRO, the crash involved a METRO bus and a pedestrian in the 10500 block of the North Freeway's HOV lane. The preliminary investigation indicates that the bus struck the pedestrian, who was pronounced dead, according to METRO.
