It’s not exactly the greeting you’d expect heading into a non-profit while down on your luck and looking for help. But it’s exactly the message Christina Kihn has for those looking for a helping hand at the Center of Charity in Alpena .

Kihn, who directs the center, is no stranger to the challenges facing those not sure where they’ll sleep or find their next meal.

After several years serving in the military, Christina was working for Charter in 2018 when she lost her job.
