The star of a new film about Canada’s first female infantry officer will be in Belleville Wednesday to answer audience questions at two Quinte Film Alternative screenings.
Canada’s Nina Kiri, perhaps best known for her role as Alma in TV series, stars as real-life solider Sandra Perron in the film . It’s based upon Perron’s book, .

The film depicts Perron’s trailblazing efforts to overcome the many obstacles for women in the infantry during the 1980s and 1990s. It’s directed by Melanie Charbonneau.
