Authorities in Newark called on those responsible for killing two people and wounding three others on Saturday night to surrender.

Kiya Mae Scott, 21 and Jordan Garcia, 10, died of their injuries at University Hospital in Newark, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered by the Essex County Sheriff’s Office for information that leads to the shooter being indicted or convicted.

Jordan’s 11-year-old brother and a 60-year-old man are in stable condition while a 19-year-old man is in critical condition.

The shooting occurred around 7 p.m. at the corner of Chancellor Avenue and Leslie Street, the prosecutor’s office said.

Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka called for the shooter to surrender.
