Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase denied spitting on Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back Jalen Ramsey during their teams’ game on Sunday, November 16, but video appears to show otherwise.

Chase, 25, and Ramsey, 31, had exchanged words throughout the game before the two got into a heated confrontation with just over 12 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Video shows the two speaking helmet-to-helmet when something appears to fly out of Chase’s mouth. A second later, Ramsey hits Chase’s face mask before throwing a punch. Officials and other players immediately stepped in to separate the two, and Ramsey was ejected from the game.
