The LHSAA executive committee will decide if Edna Karr will keep its powerhouse football team in District 9-5A, commonly known as the Catholic League, among several other districting decisions after the second classification meeting concluded Monday in Baton Rouge.
Karr submitted an appeal that would keep the Cougars competing in the same district it has won with outright district titles over the past four seasons.
Other New Orleans area appeals from the Jefferson Parish public schools along with Chalmette and Warren Easton also could impact the make-up of the tradition-bound Catholic League.
