BOSTON — With injuries starting to mount up and down the roster, the Bruins are closer to getting a key player back.
Elias Lindholm was back on the ice for morning skate on Monday. He won’t play against the Carolina Hurricanes at TD Garden on Monday night, but he’s improving.
“I always think as soon as a player is on the ice, that means he’s getting close Marco Sturm said. “How close is he? I don’t know the timeline on him. I’m just happy that he’s out there and getting closer. We need him.”
Lindholm hasn’t been ruled out for the upcoming eight-day road trip that begins Wednesday in Anaheim.
“We didn’t talk about whether he’s going to go with us right away or maybe meet us there or not at all,” Sturm said. “That just depends every day on how he’s doing.”
