Plans to build a new tower in Salford with nearly 200 new homes are set to move ahead next week.

Part of the New Bailey estate, the 22-storey building will be sandwiched between Trinity Way and Stanley Street, based up the road from Salford Central train station.

Planning permission was granted in May and next week Salford council is expected to approve a development proposal notice and a deal to lease the land.

This is aimed at ‘reinforcing New Bailey as a destination’ in Salford, with its links to the rest of the city and over the River Irwell into Manchester.
