A mother, adult son and daughter-in-law each are facing 50 animal cruelty charges after authorities found multiple deceased animals on a Monroe County property.
Heidi Faith Unterberg, 51, of the 1300 block of Alleghany Drive in Blakeslee; her son, Samuel Cutler Unterberg, 25; and his now wife, Kyra Marie Thornton, 22, both of the 300 block of Silver Valley Road in Saylorsburg, are all charged.
The three co-defendants each are facing six counts felony aggravated cruelty to animals; 23 counts misdemeanor animal neglect; 14 counts misdemeanor animal cruelty; and six counts misdemeanor not disposing of an animal carcass within 48 hours.
Court records state in September 2024 all three co-defendants were mailed summonses. There was no attorney information listed for Heidi Unterberg. Jason M
