Queensland Police are appealing for information after a teenage girl was killed in an alleged hit-and-run north of Brisbane on Monday night.
Emergency services were called to Margate Parade at Margate just before 11:30pm following reports a vehicle, believed to be a white ute, had struck a 17-year-old girl.
Officers found the girl with life-threatening injuries and rendered CPR, but she died at the scene a short time later.
Police are searching for the driver of the vehicle that allegedly left the scene after the crash.
Anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage of the area, including Mabel Street and Margate Parade, around the time of the incident is being urged to contact police.
