BATON ROUGE — After missing his first game this past weekend since earning the starting spot before last season, LSU football starting senior quarterback Garrett Nussmeier 's status for the Western Kentucky game Saturday (6:45 p.m. CT, SEC Network) remains unclear.

This would be his last game inside Tiger Stadium as this weekend is Senior Night. Nussmeier missed the Arkansas game, which LSU won 23-22 , due to abdominal injury he initially sustained back during preseason practice.

He aggravated the injury late last week at practice and wasn't able to play this past weekend. Nussmeier dealt with a torso injury through the first handful of games this season before being categorized as fully healthy after LSU's open week at the beginning of October.
