BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office has issued a statement regarding questions about federal immigration activity.
The sheriff’s office said it has not received any official notice from U.S. Customs and Border Protection about planned activity in Buncombe County.
This comes after 81 people were arrested by federal agents during the first weekend of Border Patrol’s “Charlotte’s Web” operation in North Carolina, according to a top-ranking official.
