SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WFSB) - Two Hartford teenagers were arrested early Monday morning after police say they broke into cars in Southington driveways while driving a stolen vehicle.

The arrests happened around 3:41 a.m. Monday after several residents on Flanders Road called police to report individuals attempting to enter parked cars in driveways, police said.

Officers responded and reportedly saw two suspicious cars that appeared to be traveling together. One car, a silver Hyundai Sonata, had no registration plates on the front or rear.

The driver of the Hyundai, who officers say was wearing a black ski mask, turned off the car’s lights and began driving recklessly in an effort to elude police.
