PRESTON, Conn. (WFSB) - A food truck trailer worth about $50,000 that served as a mobile kitchen for Native American cultural events has been stolen from tribal members in Preston.
Jade Galvin, owner of the Sly Fox Den and a member of the Mashpee Wompanoag Tribe, discovered the theft when she came to check on the property. Only wheel chocks remained where the trailer had been parked.
“I just was devastated. It was instant tears,” Galvin said.
Galvin and her mother used the trailer as a kitchen on wheels for Native American events throughout the region.
“We pop it up on Friday and close it down on Sunday every weekend in the summer to do Native American events on the east coast,” Galvin said.
