A current Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman and a former major league baseball player are teaming to fight hunger with their second annual competition at fundraising for food banks in Arizona and Chicago.
Cardinals offensive lineman Kelvin Beachum and MLB All-Star Curtis Granderson are behind the effort.
Beachum will rally his community in support of United Food Bank in Arizona. Granderson will raise funds for the Greater Chicago Food Depository and the Northern Illinois Food Bank in Chicago.
The athlete who raises the most funds throughout November will be crowned the winner. Granderson won last year's competition.
“Every step we take to support those battling food insecurity brings us closer to ending hunger; one neighborhood, one family, and one meal at a time," Beachum sai
