FLINT, MI — A 52-year-old Flint man convicted of second degree murder in connection with a 2024 liquor store shooting that left another man dead will serve at least 47 years in prison.
Terry Paul Moore was sentenced on Friday, Nov. 14, by Genesee County Circuit Court Judge David Newblatt. Moore was sentenced to a minimum of 47 years and a maximum sentence of 100 years in prison.
Moore was convicted by a jury on Oct. 20.
The Flint man was found guilty of shooting Joshua Edwards, 45, in the parking lot of Southside Liquor Shoppe, now known as Lapeer Liquor Beer and Wine, in February 2024.
Edwards was about to get into his vehicle when he was shot, according to a news release from the Genesee County Prosecutor’s Office.
