ANDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - A wildfire impacted traffic on I-75 in Anderson County on Monday, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
TDOT said the fire broke out at around 3:30 p.m. near mile marker 118 on I-75 North, which is near Racoon Valley Road.
While the size of the fire is unclear at this time, TDOT said it has the northbound right lane blocked and traffic backed up for over four miles, as of 3:55 p.m.
The Tennessee Department of Agriculture’s interactive wildfire map lists another wildfire in Anderson County on New River Highway that is about 100 acres in size and 55% contained.
