EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - The Woodville Eagles take on the Edgewood Bulldogs Friday night in the area round of the playoffs in our Red Zone Game of the Week.

Edgewood defeated New Boston 42-39 in the bi-district round, while Woodville rallied from 20 points down at halftime to beat West Rusk 56-41. Edgewood (9-2) had to rally to beat New Boston after being down 13 points early. Head Coach Kevin Bachtel says he was proud of his guys for overcoming.

“I was really proud of their grit..we were able to grit it out, and we talk all the time about finding a way to win and continuing the process no matter what the score is,” Bachtel said. “So, really proud of our kids...proud of our guys for overcoming, believing in the process and continuing to stick with our game plan.”
