SARASOTA, Fla. ( WWSB ) - The Federal Aviation Administration has lifted all shutdown-related flight restrictions, allowing airports nationwide to resume normal operations.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said standard air traffic operations resumed as of 6 a.m. ET Monday.

Local airports say conditions are stabilizing. Sarasota Bradenton International Airport and Tampa International Airport report operations are returning to normal.

“Things are mostly back to normal. We have 4 canceled flights today, which is less than 1 percent of our overall flights and may or may not be due to shutdown impacts,” said Emily Nipps, TPA director of communications.
