BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB/ WXIX ) - Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back Jalen Ramsey was tossed from Sunday’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals after trading swings with receiver Ja’Marr Chase. A day later, it is Chase receiving league discipline.
The NFL suspended Chase for one game Monday, ruling that he spit toward Ramsey and helped spark the skirmish in the fourth quarter. Chase is now set to miss the Bengals’ Week 12 game against the New England Patriots.
The NFL launched an investigation into Chase’s actions after video surfaced of the in-game altercation between Chase and Ramsey.
The former LSU star denied the allegation after the game, telling reporters, “I ain’t ever opened my mouth to that guy. I didn’t spit on nobody.”
