JENA, La. (KALB) - The Jena Giants are three wins away from making it to the Caesars Superdome for the first time ever, with the road to the Championship kicking off this Friday night.

“It gives us an opportunity to get back to the fundamentals, focus on getting better at things that we need to improve on,” Jena Football head coach Jay Roark said about the bye week.

The #1 seeded Giants in Division III Non-Select welcome #17 St. Helena in Regionals. The Hawks took down Avoyelles 58-26 in the Opening Round.

“It’s going to be a very big challenge for us,” Roark said. “It’s the second round, everybody’s talking about down the road, but we got to win this one, and it’s going to be tough.”

The Giants will have to rely on their recently sparked passing offense led by senior quarterback Deuc
