BOSTON — As Marco Sturm alluded earlier in the day, the Bruins made a roster move involving Johnny Beecher on Monday afternoon.
The Bruins put their fourth-line winger on waivers, with the hope of sending him to Providence.
On a one-year deal with an average annual value of just $900,000, some team might be tempted to take a flyer on him as a bottom-six forward and a penalty killer. Teams have until 2 p.m. on Tuesday to claim him. If nobody does, the Bruins can send him to the AHL.
