QUEEN CREEK, AZ (AZFamily) — Dozens of students are being evaluated after they were stung by a swarm of bees outside an East Valley school.
School officials say Queen Creek Junior School students were outside on the athletic field practicing a fire drill shortly before 2 p.m. when about 40 people, including staff members, were stung.
No one has been taken to the hospital so far, according to a Queen Creek Unified School District spokesperson.
Arizona’s Family has reached out to the Queen Creek police and fire departments for additional information. Meanwhile, district staff members are working to find the source of the bees.
