The NFL has suspended Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase for allegedly spitting on Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Jalen Ramsey during Sunday’s testy game at Acrisure Stadium.
In the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game, Jalen Ramsey was ejected for punching Ja’Marr Chase in the face as they exchanged some words. After the game, Ramsey told reporters that the punch was in retaliation for being spat on by Chase, who denied doing such a thing.
The league, however, didn’t buy Chase’s side of the story.
Per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the NFL has suspended Chase one game for the alleged spitting incident. That means he’ll miss Sunday’s home game against the New England Patriots and will be eligible to return in Week 13 against the Baltimore Ravens.
