BOERUM HILL — HATE-FILLED GRAFFITI directed at Jews that was found on an Atlantic Avenue sidewalk during the Jewish sabbath has received condemnation from a number of elected officials from all three Abrahamic faiths.
City Councilmember Lincoln Restler, D-33, coordinated with the city Department of Sanitation to get the graffiti, which read “F___ Jews,” cleaned up overnight Friday, Nov. 14-15. Restler, who shared visual documentation of the hate language via the social media platform X, praised the Dept. of Sanitation’s quick cleanup. “Anti-Semitic incidents represent a majority of the hate crimes in New York City.
