The cast of Wicked: For Good will be walking the red carpet tonight at the New York City premiere, but don’t expect to see any interviews with leading ladies Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande .

Journalists who are already standing on the red carpet and waiting for the stars to arrive were just informed that they will not get to speak to the Elphaba or Glinda actresses.

A rep has explained what happened.

“ Cynthia is not feeling well and has lost her voice, therefore she and Ariana will not be doing interviews this evening,” the rep told Variety , adding that Ariana is holding out on interviews in solidarity with Cynthia .

Despite the illness, Cynthia will still attend the event and pose for photos. The rest of the cast is also expected to attend.
