Danny Masterson has filed a habeas corpus petition in hopes of getting his 30-year prison sentence thrown out.
The former That ’70s Show actor was convicted to 30 years-to-life in prison after being convicted of raping two women. The actor is now putting blame on his defense lawyer, Philip Cohen .
Masterson is making several claims in his motion filed in a California appeals court.
The actor claims that Cohen failed to call important witnesses during the trial or use evidence that would have aided his defense. The petition alleges that the lawyer only spoke to two out of 20 possible witnesses.
