AUSTIN, Texas — A man has been arrested and charged with murder after a man was found dead behind a bus stop in South Austin on Thursday.
According to the Austin Police Department, officers responded to 4107 Victory Drive, near U.S. 290 and South Lamar Boulevard, around 5:22 p.m. on Nov. 13 after reports of a dead body.
When officers arrived, they found the victim, later identified as 63-year-old Robert Wentworth, inside a large cardboard box. Wentworth was pronounced dead on the scene at 5:53 p.m.
Investigators believe Wentworth had been living with a man, 24-year-old Aidan Hunt, who lived a few hundred yards away from where the victim was found.
A search warrant was executed at Hunt’s residence, where police allegedly found evidence related to the murder.
