The Warriors guard joked after Golden State's 124-106 win over the New Orleans Pelicans that he had been chasing a family record for years.
“That’s actually my first time having eight threes," Moody told reporters postgame. "But I got an uncle that told me when I was young the most he hit was eight, so I’ve been trying to get it my whole life. It’s like people put a curse on me. I’ve never gotten it, so I’ll probably give him this jersey or something.”
