CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte organizations and business are providing services to help those afraid to leave their homes due to Border Patrol operations in the city.
The Camino Salud Health Care Center is using telehealth to make sure clients still have access to healthcare while Compare Foods grocery store is offering free delivery services.
“People are cancelling their appointments, they’re not showing up and the fear has imprisoned so many families,” CEO of Camino Rusty Price said.
Price says when his team noticed cancellations piling up, they had to do something.
“What we’ve decided to do, anybody who's got an appointment, we’re gonna call them, we’re gonna reach out and we can do telehealth and they don’t have to get out of the house," Price said. "They don’t have to risk, or at le
