ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The woman killed outside a CVS pharmacy in Loganville last week was identified as a store employee.

Kim Whaley worked at the store located off Highway 78 and Conyers Road for seven years, a CVS spokesperson said.

They said they are “devastated” and said that Whaley was a “beloved member of the store team, known for her upbeat personality, caring and compassionate nature.”

On Friday, Nov. 14, Loganville police responded to the shooting where Whaley was found with a gunshot wound to her head. Police were able to take a person into custody that evening in Lawrenceville.
