GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — A man is dead after being shot and killed Sunday evening at an apartment complex near the Westgate Entertainment District.

Glendale police said officers were conducting traffic control near 93rd Avenue and Entertainment Boulevard around 6 p.m. when they heard three gunshots go off with people yelling in the vicinity.

As authorities arrived, they found a man, identified as Braulio Parra Sillas, 40, dead near the front door of an apartment, who appeared to have been shot.

At that point, detectives took several people into custody, including the suspected shooter from that apartment. However, it’s unclear what led up to the shooting, and detectives are actively looking into any criminal or self-defense possibilities.
